Charles G. Dennison was ordained in 1972, and he served the Orthodox Presbyterian Church faithfully for over a quarter of a century. A pastor-churchman-theologian who loved church history, Dennison believed that the triune God had been gracious to that "expression of the visible body of Christ" which we call the OPC. He held the deep conviction that God had done—and was continuing to do—wonderful things in this small church. With this conviction, he labored to explain to the OPC its proper historical context, so that she might better understand her relationship to her Lord and be equipped to serve him from the heart. Here, together for the first time, is a sampling of Dennison's labors as historian. History for a Pilgrim People presents several of his essays and lectures, which reflect his understanding of the history of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
