April 14 Today in OPC History

On April 14, 1952, Moody Bible Institute in Chicago sponsored a Vacation Bible School workshop to promote the VBS materials that had been developed by the Orthodox Presbyterian Church's Great Commission Publications. The Rev. Edmund Clowney, primary author of the materials, conducted the workshops. 33,000 pupil workbooks and 3,300 teacher manual for Beginners ("The Children's Savior"), Primary ("Kings"), Junior ("The Lord in the Land") and Intermediate ("Gospel of John") had been published by GCP.
