March 31

James Bosgraf and Carl Erickson

On this day in 1967, Mr. James Bosgraf and Mr. Carl Erickson were ordained to gospel ministry in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. After graduating from Gordon Divinity School, Mr. Bosgraf served as pastor of Grace OPC, Hanover Park, Illinois (1967–73), Park Hill OPC, Denver (1973–79), and Bethel OPC, Oostburg, Wisconsin (1979–1992), before being appointed in 1992 as the full-time Regional Home Missionary of the Presbytery of the Midwest. As an RHM, he helped start over 48 mission works and church plants that have been officially funded by the Committee on Home Missions and Church Extension.

Following his graduation from Westminster Theological Seminary, Mr. Erickson was installed as pastor of Brentwood OPC (renamed New Covenant OPC), South San Francisco. His forty-seven years of continuous service as pastor of the New Covenant congregation is the second longest in the history of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.

Both Mr. Bosgraf and Mr. Erickson continue to labor in their respective calls.
