David and Nellie Gregg

2022

On this date in 1971, David John Gregg and Nellie Mae Geels were married at the manse of Alameda CRC. The couple met in San Francisco while David was in basic training before serving a tour of duty in Vietnam. David was born to John and Peg Gregg in Philadelphia, PA. Many OP ministers remember John from his days as the maintenance man at Westminster Theological Seminary. He and Peg were members of Calvary OPC, Glenside, PA.

David has served on the session of Calvary OPC in Middletown for more than 25 years. He previously served as an elder at Covenant OPC in Grove City, PA. He has been a member of the Committee on Foreign Missions since 2008, and has been a commissioner to General Assembly for the Presbytery of Ohio, the Presbytery of Philadelphia, and the Presbytery of Central Pennsylvania.

David and Nellie’s older son Ian serves as an elder at Resurrection OPC in State College PA, and their younger son Sean is a ruling elder on the session of Trinity OPC in Hatboro, PA. Their daughter Heather is a member of Christ Reformed Church (URCNA) in Washington, DC.
