October 16 Today in OPC History

On October 16, 2010, the Presbytery of the Southeast recognized Reformation OPC in Gastonia, North Carolina, as a mission work. A year later on November 11, Joseph ("Joby") Fowler, Jr. was ordained and installed as associate pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, North Carolina, to serve as the organizing pastor of Reformation OPC. A little over three years later on December 14, 2014, the Presbytery of the Southeast organized Reformation Church as a new and separate congregation in the OPC. Mr. Fowler was installed as pastor, and Kelvin Monteith and Michael Cloy were installed as ruling elders, and Spencer Grigg was ordained and installed as a deacon.
