Help the OPC Grow Godly Ministers!

One of the best ways for churches to help the Orthodox Presbyterian Church develop pastors who preach Christ from the Scriptures, shepherd God’s flock with wisdom, and visit the sick with empathy is to provide internships for seminarians and graduates. The whole OPC benefits as another well-trained intern becomes an OPC pastor.

If you are a seminarian looking to confirm whether you have the gifts and calling to serve as a pastor, strongly consider becoming an intern this summer or for a year. An internship offers opportunities to preach and teach while serving under an experienced OP pastor. (All mentoring pastors must have served in the OPC for five years before supervising an intern.) During seminary, young men may serve as a summer intern. Seminary graduates may serve for a year following graduation.

The Committee on Christian Education provides financial assistance to help churches fund interns. Churches with summer interns may receive up to $1,000 a month while those with yearlong interns may receive up to $1,500 a month. Churches must at least match the amount of monthly support given by the CCE.

If you wonder about whether an internship would work for your church or for you as a seminarian, please contact Danny Olinger, intern director, at or call (215) 830-0900, Ext. *828.

For more information, please visit the Internship Program page.

Both churches and seminarians must send in their applications by February 28.
