Immediate Need: Short-Term Missionary to Uganda

Trish Duggan

OPC Foreign Missions is seeking a short-term missionary to serve in Karamoja, the wide open, beautiful, sun-washed plains and mountains of northeastern Uganda.

The OPC Uganda Mission in Karamoja has an immediate need of a facilities manager to fill a short-term need while current missionary Travis Emmett and his family are in the States for medical leave early next year.

Those with general handyman skills—and a heart to serve Christ’s church—are encouraged to prayerfully consider whether they might step in to help during this season of need. You’ll work on a wide variety of projects while serving our missionaries, the local church, and the community in beautiful Karamoja! You don’t need to be an expert tradesman—just a willing and faithful worker. Financial assistance may be available.

The length of the term can be flexible, with a preferred start date in the early months of 2026.

The Reformed Deacon podcast dedicated its November 1, 2025 episode to this need. In that episode you can hear directly from Travis Emmett and Douglas Clawson by going to thereformeddeacon.org or by searching your favorite podcast player for “The Reformed Deacon.”

Please prayerfully consider how you may be able to help!

If you are interested in this opportunity or need further information, please reach out to OPC CFM General Secretary, Douglas Clawson.
