April 30 Today in OPC History

On this day in 1999, Meadow Springs Community Church was recognized by the Presbytery of the Midwest as a particular congregation. The Rev. Gerald J. Neumair, evangelist from Spencer Mills OPC, had begun working with the group nearly eight years earlier. On May 5, 1991, Mr. Neumair had led the first worship service for the group attended by 226 people. Visitors commented on how friendly the new church was, and one person even indicated committing his life to the Lord.
