November 10 Today in OPC History

On November 10, 2012, the Presbytery of New Jersey held a 75th anniversary banquet at the Hibernian Club in Hamilton Township, New Jersey. The Reverends Robert W. Eckardt and Stephen L. Phillips delivered historical reminiscences from their pastorates in the presbytery. Committee for the Historian president Danny Olinger spoke on the topic, "Reflections on the Presbytery of New Jersey." Participants were also quizzed on the PNJ's history. Questions included, "What church paid for its pews with S&H green stamps?," "What church building was previously a disco-bar?," "What was the original name of the Boardwalk Chapel?," and "New Jersey has hosted five General Assemblies. Where?"
