On this date in 2000, the North American Presbyterian and Reformed Council met for their annual meeting in Los Angeles, California. The Rev. Dr. S. Steve Park of the host Korean American Presbyterian Church addressed the body speaking on "How Am I to Pray This Very Night?" The major item on the docket for consideration was a recommendation that each member church discern and enumerate those issues of belief, practice, and government that distinguish them from other NAPARC churches. This was to the end that NAPARC may evaluate the Biblical and confessional basis for such distinctive positions and the degree to which these issues necessitate continued separation. Orthodox Presbyterian delegates to the body were Donald Duff, Robert Needham, Jack Peterson, and G.I. Williamson.
