On October 9, 1973, the Presbytery of New York and New England was holding its Fall stated meeting at Westminster OPC in Hamden, Connecticut. In addition to the host church, the lone congregation in Connecticut, five congregations (Bangor, Cornville, Houlton, Lewiston, and Portland) were located in Maine, five congregations (Franklin Square, Lisbon, Rochester (Covenant), Rochester (Memorial), and Schenectady) were located in New York, and two congregations (Fall River, Hamilton) were located in Massachusetts. Ministerial members of the presbytery were Harold Dorman, Charles Stanton, Donald Miller, Bernard "Chip" Stonehouse, Paul Davenport, Wendell Rockey Jr., John Hills Jr., Ted Georgian, George Willis, Ray Meiners, David Freeman, Burton Goddard, Allen Harris Jr., John Rankin, Kelly Tucker, Charles Schauffele, John Skilton and John Murray.
