January 16 Today in OPC History

On January 16, 2008, David Cornette was ordained as a minister by the Presbytery of New Jersey and installed as pastor of Grace Presbyterian Church in Pennsville, New Jersey. The congregation, which was started in 1973 by David's father, John, had moved in ministry over the years from a fundamental Baptist congregation to one that embraced the glorious doctrines of the Reformed faith. On February 11, 2008, the congregation at Crossroads Community Church voted to incorporate as Grace OPC, and on February 23, 2008, the Presbytery of New Jersey voted to receive the congregation. On April 4, 2008, the PNJ conducted a service of recognition and reception.
