July 27 Today in OPC History

Members and friends of Providence Presbyterian Church in Pflugerville, Texas, gathered for the first time on this date in 2014 as South Austin Presbyterian Church, at Southwest Family Fellowship in the Oak Hill section of Austin. The saints gathered at 2 pm for Sunday School and held their first worship service at 3:30 pm. Present was Ruling Elder John Terpstra who helped organize the group with Bible Studies in the south Austin area, and the Rev. James J. Cassidy who was called by Providence Church to plant the south Austin work. Cassidy preached on Hebrews 1:1-4: "The Qualified Redeemer."
