Twenty-five years ago on this date Chad E. Bond was ordained to the ministry of the gospel by the Presbytery of Philadelphia of the OPC. He served as Associate Pastor of Calvary OPC in Glenside, Pennsylvania, for three years, after which he planted Faith OPC in Garland, Texas, where he ministered from 2004 to 2023. Since then, he has pastored Reformation OPC in Oviedo, Florida. Over the course of the past two decades, he has mentored several OPC ministerial candidates. Most recently this includes Alec Dunlap, who was ordained and installed at Firelands Grace OPC in Sandusky, Ohio, last month, and Chad's new colleague, Joseph Gigante, ordained as Associate Pastor of Reformation OPC three days ago. In his senior year at Geneva College, Chad won an essay contest sponsored by the Committee for the Historian of the OPC. He continued his interest in the history of the denomination during his studies at Westminster Seminary in Philadelphia, working in the OPC archives while he earned his MDiv in 1999. Since 2006, Chad has served on the Committee for the Historian of the OPC.
Chad married Robin Blanchard on August 3, 1996. They have four children, two grandaughters, and another grandchild on the way!
