September 1 Today in OPC History

On September 1, 2005, the Presbytery of the Midwest received the Rev. Ronald L. Beabout and installed him as pastor of Calvary OPC in Cedar Grove, Wisconsin. A graduate of Houghton College in Houghton, New York, and Grace Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana, Mr. Beabout first served Free Methodist Church congregations in Rushford, Buffalo, and Salamanca, New York. Prior to coming into the OPC, Mr. Beabout served the Conservative Baptist Association of Pennsylvania for twelve years as a missionary to the Ivory Coast and France. After nearly a decade as pastor of Calvary OPC, Mr. Beabout served as a church planter at Trinity Reformed Church in Gaithersburg, Maryland, and at Grace and Truth OPC in Mifflintown, Pennsylvania. He retired in January 2023 and was designated with Emeritus status by the Presbytery of Central Pennsylvania.
