September 7 Today in OPC History

On September 7, 2012, the Rev. Robert E. Tarullo was installed as pastor of Westminster OPC in Indian Head Park, Illinois. The Rev. Matthew E. Cotta, pastor of Grace OPC in Hanover Park, IL, preached from Luke 24 on the ministry of the Word of God. Dr. A. Craig Troxel, pastor of Bethel OPC in Wheaton, IL, charged Mr. Tarullo from 1 Samuel 12:23 on the pastor's prayer life. The Rev. Lendall H. Smith charged the congregation from Hebrews 13 and the Rev. Alan D. Strange led in a prayer of consecration. Among those present for the service was the Rev. Ivan J. DeMaster, who served as pastor of Westminster OPC from 1966 to 1985. Mr. Tarullo continues today to serve as pastor of Westminster OPC, now located in Countryside, IL.
