September 3 Today in OPC History

Richard Craven was born on this day in 1954. A graduate of Gordon College and Westminster Seminary, Craven was ordained and installed on October 30, 1981, as pastor of Gettysburg OPC in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. In 1989, he accepted a position as a Guest Lecturer at Westminster Seminary and eventually served until 2006 as an Assistant Professor of Practical Theology. In 1998, he was received into the Presbyterian Church in America and served as pastor of Church of the Savior in Wayne, Pennsylvania. On March 6, 2014, he died and went to be with the Lord in Glory.
