On this date in 1975, the Committee on Foreign Missions in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church with General Secretary John Galbraith was overseeing seventeen missionaries and their families in five different countries. In Ethiopia, Arthur and Barbara Steltzer, John Mason, Grietje Rietkerk, Sandra Campbell, Cornelia Van Galen, and James Miner were serving. In Taiwan, Egbert and Betty Andrews, Richard and Polly Gaffin, and Lendall and Sherrill Smith were laboring. In Korea, Ted and Grace Hard, Ralph and Joan English and Bruce and Kathy Hunt were serving. In Japan, the missionaries were Arnold and Lorraine Kress, Heber and Genie McIlwaine, David and Grace Moore, and George and Fumi Uomoto. Benson and Dee Male were working in Lebanon.
