Ordained Servant

Edited by G. I. Williamson

Published for the
Committee on Christian Education
of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church

Ordained Servant exists to provide solid materials for the equipping of office-bearers to serve more faithfully. The goal of this journal is to assist the ordained servants of the church to become more fruitful in their particular ministry so that they in turn will be more capable to prepare God's people for works of service. To attain this goal Ordained Servant includes articles (both old and new) of a theoretical and practical nature with the emphasis tending toward practical articles wrestling with perennial and thorny problems encountered by office-bearers. Two cumulative indices to Volume 1-12 (1992-2003) are available in PDF format: a subject index and an author index. An older cumulative index, 1992-1999, including links to many articles available in HTML, is also available.

Online Archives

Ordained Servant exists to serve the Church of Jesus Christ. Though it is designed with the particular needs of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church in mind, it is also received by many others, some of whom have requested back issues. It is primarily for such that we place the archives of this publication on line. We ask that you do not distribute them to others, or make any commercial use of them. But you are welcome to download any of these articles for your own use. Please note: these documents are in Adobe Acrobat format and require Acrobat Reader to view and/or print them. They average about 400K and can take some time to download, so please be patient. To download a free copy of Acrobat Reader, click here.

Editorial Policy

1) Ordained Servant publishes articles inculcating biblical presbyterianism in accord with the constitution of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and helpful articles from collateral Reformed traditions; however, views expressed by the writers do not necessarily represent the position of Ordained Servant or of the Church.

2) Ordained Servant occasionally publishes articles on issues on which differing positions are taken by officers in good standing in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church. Ordained Servant does not intend to take a partisan stand but welcomes articles from various viewpoints in harmony with the constitution of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church.
